ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This Course provides the foundational knowledge required for a beginner to join a project team and serve as the first step on their path to a project management career. This Course will provide an overview of project management terminology and includes foundational topics such as project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closing the project.

The participant will also learn structured project management approach to manage projects, provide direction and guidance to others, participate as a team member in projects, and will help the participant to be more effective in their role, provide them with a proven set of practical approaches, tools and techniques that will be applicable across all industries.

Participants will work in teams to plan and execute simulated projects with techniques and approaches used by professional project managers.

CREDITS

This course qualifies for 23 Contact Hours of formal project management education, which can be used towards the Project Management Institute (PMI) CAPM Exam requirements

THE COURSE MATERIAL and group exercises as used in class have been developed over many years following recognized Instructional Design techniques. All material is regularly updated based on participant feedback and current industry good-practices.

OUR TRAINERS have many years of project management, leadership and training experience. All have used the processes, tools, techniques and good-practices outlined in the Project Management Institute, ‘A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge’ (PMBOK® Guide) and are able to relate this knowledge to the running of successful projects in industry.

THE TRAINING WORKSHOP is conducted in a group environment where participants are encouraged to participate in individual and team activities to promote learning, build team morale, and reinforce understanding of concepts.
