ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Enhancing Your Project Management Competencies

This course is for individual who has foundation project management knowledge and/or project management work experience in scope, time, cost, resource, communication, stakeholders and risk management. The course aims to enhance individual project management competency describe in the Individual Competency Baseline Version 4 (ICB4) published by the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

In this interactive workshop, you will work in simulated project teams and apply three (3) competence areas described in the ICB4: perspective competences (context), practice competences (methods, tools and techniques), and people competences (personal and interpersonal); with the aim to successfully participate in or lead projects and to realise project success.

ICB4 three (3) competence areas (practice, people and perspective) and twenty-eight (28) competence elements are covered in two (2) project management courses:  Project Management Basic and Project Management Advanced.

At the end of this interactive and hands-on workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Determine the context (perspective competence) that is within and across the environment for effective project management
  • Apply methods, tools and techniques to develop project plans
  • Apply people techniques and methods to achieve (people competence) project outcome.
  • This course is for project managers, project leaders, managers, team members, and anyone who is directly involved with projects in almost every industry who wishes to achieve a better understanding of practical, formal project management methods and managing day-to-day operations with project management methods.
