Prepare to pass the IIBA Certification exam to obtain the (CBAP®) credential

The Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) credential is the industry recognized assessment of Business Analysis knowledge, skills and capabilities administered by International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®).
Passing the CBAP exam and obtaining the CBAP credential will demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning, certifying your expertise and skills so you can improve your overall performance and widen market opportunities for yourself and your company in the global marketplace.

This intensive workshop uses accelerated learning to build your core skills and knowledge that will help you to be more effective in your work and prepare you for the CBAP exam.

You will also learn in detail about the six Knowledge Areas plus Underlying Competencies defined in the IIBA® global standard ‘A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge’ (BABOK® Guide), and receive detailed test-taking tips and study strategies to help you to pass the CBAP exam. This course is aligned with version 3.0 of the BABOK® Guide.

At the end of this interactive and hands-on workshop, participants will be able to:

This course qualifies for the minimum 35 hours of Formal Education that fully satisfies the CBAP® exam requirement, and also qualifies for 40 Professional Development Units (PDUs) under Project Management Institute (PMI) Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program Category A.

A foundational knowledge of business analysis principles is preferred for this course. This can be acquired through prior coursework or professional experience. To be eligible to take the official CBAP certification exam, you must fulfil the following criteria:

1. Complete a minimum 7,500 hours (5 years) of BA work (aligned to BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas)experience in the last 10 years

    • For CCBA® Candidate, complete a minimum 3,750 hours (about 2 – 3 years) of BA work (aligned to BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas)experience in the last 7 years

2. Within this experience, a minimum of 900 hours completed in 4 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas, for a total of at least 3,600 hours of the required 7,500 hours.

    • For CCBA Candidate, within these 3750 minimum hours required, a minimum of 900 hours must be completed in each of 2 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas OR, a minimum of 500 hours must be completed in each of 4 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas

3. Complete a minimum of 35 hours of Professional development (OR 21 hours for CCBA Candidate) in the last 4 years

4. Provide a minimum of two (2) References from a Career Manager, Client or a CBAP holder.

To successfully complete the SSG-funded CBAP Exam Preparation course, you must fulfil the following requirements:

  1. Class Attendance
    • You are required to achieve at least 75% attendance for the entire duration of the course.
  2. Active Participation
    • You must actively engage in the learning activities, which are not limited to group discussions, case studies, quizzes or exercises during the course.
  3. Assessment Criteria
    • You must PASS all the required WSQ assessments.
  4. Post-Course Evaluation & SSG – TRAQOM Survey Submission
    • Your feedback helps us continuously improve our programs. Upon course completion, you will be asked to complete a Post-Course Evaluation and the SSG-TRAQOM survey.
  5. Adherence to SSG Policies
    • You must adhere to all SSG policies and maintaining professional conduct during the course.
  6. Issuance of Certificate
    • Upon meeting all the above requirements, you will receive EPM – Certificate of Completion and SSG – Statement of Attainment (SOA).

SkillsFuture Course Fee Funding:
The revisions to course fee funding, applicable to all SSG-funded courses commencing on or after 1 Jan 2022, are as follows:

  • Baseline course fee subsides will be simplified and streamlined across PMET and non-PMET courses, up to 50% of course fees for certifiable courses approved by SSG.
  • Enterprises that qualify for SSG’s enhanced subsidy schemes (SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy and Enhanced Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)) will receive an enhanced subsidy of up to 20%-points above the baseline course fee subsidies. 

Absentee Payroll Funding:

  • With effect from 1 Jan 2022, SSG will introduce a fixed Absentee Payroll (AP) rate at $4.50 per hour. We will also set a $100,000 cap on the maximum AP funding each organisation can claim each calendar year to ensure that the benefits are more evenly distributed across companies.
